101 Ways to be a Nuisance

Seriously folks, if you need someone to pick you up from the airport, please give them the nitty gritty details. I have seen poor MOPs anxiously waiting for their daughters/sons/mistresses/mother/father and yet don't know which flight they are on. They only know the origin of the place and the approximate time of arrival. How much more stupid can people get? I am really not trying to be mean here but I am INTRIGUED why people don't 1) ask for the flight number and 2) give the flight number? Is it difficult to tell your poor family/friends that "Hey, I shall be arriving via BA18 from Melbourne around 7.30pm."

Take this poor fella as an example...yes, it's TRUE.

MOP: Hi good afternoon. May I know what time and which belt the flight from HK is arriving ar?
RJ: (-_-:) there are many flights from HK arriving everyday Sir, do you have a flight number?
MOP: I dunno leh...she said she's arriving around 7.30pm.
RJ: Ok Sir, there is a flight CX123 from HK arriving around that time at belt 22.
MOP: Great!
RJ: And there is also a Singapore Airlines flight SQ321 from HK arriving that time at belt 37*.
MOP: *starts to panic* Uh oh, how? Can you check her name?
RJ: I'm sorry but we don't have the namelist.
MOP: So how? Oh dear, both arriving the same time issit?
RJ: Yes. (Why oh why??? How come cases like these happen???)
MOP: What time did both the flights left HK? Mabye then I can tell the difference!
RJ: Eh...both left HK at 4pm.
MOP: (shellshocked) Uh oh...which is the bigger flight?? She's on the bigger plane.
RJ: Mmmmmmm...CX123 is a B722 and SQ is...tadaaaa! Also a B722. (I just started laughing, I couldn't help it.)
MOP: Oh dear oh dear...I dunno which one she is on! So How?

Please be considerate. Tell anyone who is picking you up, the 1) flight number, 2) origin and 3) estimated time of arrival**.

*International flights operate in Terminal 1 and Singapore Airlines, mainly Terminal 2. Running between Terminals make one all PMS-ish. Do not try. Hence, refer to "**"
