Are you Ready or Delusional?

The other day, a lady friend of mine asked me what it was like being married. Her boyfriend is due to proposed and she is wondering if she were even suited for marriage. Beats me, I don't even know if I am suited to marriage myself but fortunately, at least my husband hasn't complained in the last year. MUCH. (Ask me again in 5 years' time ok?) I don't feel too different but I do think after getting married, you put in more effort maintaining the relationship. Afterall, if you will be living with this person for the next 30-40 years, you'd better not piss each other everyday. If you are a Drama Queen, I absolutely advise against getting married because once you throw a temper and a hysteric...your husband would most likely, ignore you. Stay single.

As for married life... I can't speak for other couples but I also sometimes feel that I am a mother to a little boy. It's endearing but also very frustrating. I pick up after Loverboy alot. I do scream at his mess a few times a week but I don't think men remember very well. When I pack the room, I almost always find empty packages that used to contain salted nuts or chocolates. Loverboy knows I don't like him snacking too much so he tries to hide his food (LOL). His little empty packets would be found in the bath-tub (snacking in the hot tub); under newspapers; between cushions or under the coffee table. He likes leaving clues around. I also give countless reminders to him to wash his hands; take a shower; refill the toilet paper; to NOT expulse his snort in the sink or hang up his trousers properly etc.

You become a mother once you get married, not after you get pregnant.

So....are YOU ready for married life? Ha ha ha.
