Been a long while.
I have decided to 'reopen' my blog of sorts. There was a period of time I got all obsessed with the stock market and would wake up faithfully at 8.30am to research and prepare for the day's battle ahead. And then stare at the computer screen until 5pm, log off and go jog. It was hard to tear myself away to meet my friends. I couldn't sacrifice the stock market nor my frequent jogs.
Now I am human again. Haha.
I have been lazy monitoring the market recently because it is weak and I lost money LOL. Well, not alot to get all depressed but still...bleh. Anyway better luck next time!
I guess.......it's just a waste to completely neglect this blog. It is fun for me to randomly read my previous posts too. It had stuck with my for years and hopefully, many more years to come. :) It saw me through my single days....my jobless days and newbie-at-work days. Look how far it has come. Now I am an engaged woman who might be married by the end of the year. (Yikes.)
Loverboy finally proposed to me. Well....not 'finally' since I wasn't exactly waiting and I certainly wouldn't mind dating a couple more years. I don't know what prompted Loverboy to propose but boy, was I shocked. I was predicting him to propose at our Tasmania trip in early January but he was 2 months early. I guess I can never really predict Loverboy. He was trying my ring the other day and I thought he was sneakily trying to find out my ring size. Nope, wrong again. He proposed to me with a necklace.
To stray alittle, I remember asking him which planet he was from since I believe 99% of girls receive RINGS as proposals. Apparently, I very fortunately(?) belong to the remaining 1% who receive things like necklaces/watches/cows/goats/camels as proposals.
-_-
Initially I did MIND. Why did I have to be the girl who don't receive a ring?? Now, after reflecting a little, I think I don't mind as much. It's just a present afterall...plus, a necklace can be a heirloom too.Truthfully, I was looking forward to receiving Capitaland stocks as proposals but I guess he wasn't dumb/generous to that extent. Haha! Oh well, nevermind lah. Loverboy is my blue-chip stock.
Thank you to everyone who gave us your blessings. I never knew but it's a fantastic feeling to receive well-wishes from so many different people. There are friends who get all misty-eyed at the news and genuinely want us to be happy. I am very touched. Blessings are truly powerful gifts.
So.....I guess alot did happen since September 15th (my last post). Loverboy proposed on the 15th of November in my flight. And now I am feeling quite lost. How do people make the first step to getting married? I mean, I still wanna chill and take it slow. Maybe think about it 2-3months later. But Loverboy wants to be married by January.
"......."
Anyway watch this space ok? Loverboy is gonna propose to my dad this coming Saturday. I hope a good discussion takes place and many things get kinda settled. In the meantime, I need to find a good restaurant with good private rooms.

wahhh, congrats maymay! <3 wishing you and your loverboy many years of wedded bliss and many kids! hahaha. a bit of a rush to get married before the year ends, though. as for the necklace... maybe he just didn't wanna go the conventional route cuz he wanted to make it memorable - see, you'll remember it for the rest of your life, heh.
anyway, my best wishes to both of you! <3
