RocketJim Needs a Bag

I need a new leather bag. A slouchy, hobo-ish bag I can wear with the most 'lok-cock' of clothes or denim. Been reading Bagaholicboy's bag blog pretty religiously but I think many luxury brands are boring. I don't like Vuitton and I detest Gucci. I saw a very pretty mocha coloured leather bag from Cartier but I think I won't want to fork out that amount anyway. The only bag decently nice is from Balenciaga but I don't feel like putting out all those money too. Ack.

I'm never a bag-girl so I don't exactly understand all the hoohaa about the latest 'IT' bags. I saw the new YSL 'Y' bag recently but the straps look kinda cheap. Maybe the woman was carrying it wrong. Gee, it is a sad time to shop for bags.

But I did get myself stuck drooling over a couple of bags while in New York. For your information, Ruehl makes pretty bags which are sturdy and in genuine leather. This one I am soooo lemming:



The Ruehl Leah Bag. Niceeee. And only a very affordable USD$348. Pffft I mean, the other Goyard bag I am lemming costs 3 times more. Totally value for money. Love the color. But I am wondering if it will become a real bitch to open the bag.

A pretty across shoulder bag from Lucky Brand. USD$148. I saw this on a mannequin. Immediately walked into the shop to check out more. Very pretttyyy. Kinda small though...which I guess is great for the back right?



I loveeeee the embossed details on this bag. USD$219. The color is perfect for slouchy days. Wish the strap was longer. But oh so lovely!! I love the embossed details.

I got no love for Miss Duff but the bag sure looks nice.

Arg, I wish my mum gets sick of her bag soon. At least I can save even more money. I don't mind hand-me-downs ever. Not from Mummy Dearest ever anyway. Kekeke maybe I should print some Bottega pics and stick all over her Watanabe wardrobe.

My mum's back is starting to give her problems and I think it is partly because of her heavy bags throughout the years. At least she has taken out 500ml water bottles and umbrellas. She needs recommendations for lighter bags and I know Le Sportsac bags are the lightest in the market (parachute material!!) hahaha but they won't match her work attire. Maybe she should just invest in a Samsonite trolley.
