I think I had a very successful day today. Am mighty pleased with myself. I went to the gym again today and I realised my stamina IS getting better. Now I can continuously run for 15-20minutes at a speed of 8.5km/h without dying. When I first started, I have to rest every 5 minutes and walk. Now walking is only for warming up and cooling down. Well, it is still peanuts but I do try to complete 3km when I am at the threadmill.
Yes, we can! Heh. If RocketJim can exercise, so can you. My siblings cannot believe that I am lifting weights and jogging. I feel so proud thinking my heart is better now. I really don't wanna puff and pant anymore.
After my gym session, I went to NTUC with Budsey to get ingredients for dinner. I bought tons of stuff from my Nagoya trip and I was gonna cook for my parents. Granted, it was still 'instant-noodle-ish' but hey, I tried. Check out my spoils.
On the left is the famous Yamamotoya Miso Nikomi Udon from Nagoya. I've never heard of it but Loverboy asked me to get a few packs back. I got caught in the rain searching for that and I got mighty pissed at him a few days back. But that's another story. When I finally found it, I saw a snaking queue outside the restaurant. Luckily I only needed the pre-packed ones so I was out in a few minutes.
This is the result when I cooked it:

My dad was starving so I had to quickly use my phone's camera. Arg the picture quality is terrible but the aroma in the house was AMAZING. Sasuga Yamamotoya da! I didn't get to eat it yet cuz I had to wait for Loverboy to come back. (>.<) Anyway I 'bastardized' the dish cuz I added carrots. Am not sure if I was supposed to serve it like that but it IS spring again and I wanted to decorate the dish.
On the right is a pack of Tonkotsu Ramen or Pig's Bone broth Ramen. I lovvvvveeeee Tonkotsu and can eat it anytime. I love my soup base salty so this is good. I haven't opened it yet.........but generally I like tonkotsu lah! Should be good. Will post pictures when I cook it.
I was pretty broke in Tokyo. I bought some bento moulds so that I can finally start making some for Loverboy and Budsey and Dad. I am super excited! Unfortunately since Loverboy is the only one among the 3 who owns Japanese rice, he should get the first bento. Haha I am VERY IMPARTIAL. You know??
So cute. These are plastic moulds to cut happy faces into your food. You can cut shapes into cheese, ham, seaweed etc. Cho waku waku~ I can't wait until I use them.
On the right hand, are miniature plastic containers to add mayonnaise or ponzu or soy sauce. The possibilities are endless! Whoot. The stickers on the left are actually vinyl sheets to separate (sectionize) your food. Cutenees eternal! I feel highly domesticated now. I only lack an apron now.
Great how the flights suck these days. I can exercise and also become a domestic kitchen goddess.
