No Brainers

After running around town for the whole day, I was starving by the time I reached Narita. Since I had a bus to catch to go back to my comfy hotel room, I had only one choice: MacD's. I ordered a Fillet O'Fish meal to go and when I was deciding what drink to have with my meal, I caught the sight of green tea.

Now, I really love my green tea and I dare say I have tried every major brand out there available in Tokyo. I hereby present to you, the nastiest one I have ever had the misfortune to taste:

Good tea should be subtle on the palate and is aromatic. This tea is the 'Creepy Steven ' of all teas: BAD. Haha. I don't understand why it continues to sell so well but I guess there are many dieting Japanese girls out there. This tea apparently helps one to lose weight but since it taste so bad, I'd rather jog. Thing is, my point is to bring out the irony of having slimming green tea with a MacD's meal. Really, what is the point? I don't get the people who order diet coke or that nasty green tea to go with a calorie-laden meal. I don't know which is more stupid: mini Cornettos or this.

This also reminds me of a friend who said she was trying to lose weight while ordering a 6 pieces MacNuggets meal (no upsizing). Her rationale is that Chicken nuggets is meat. Hence, it is just proteins. I don't think she grasps the concept of the Atkins Diet very well but I am a supportive friend. I gave her a pat on her back and kept quiet.

I should have taken psychology. It's fascinating.

Anyway, as an aside, these are my favourite teas. Served chill on a very hot day, it is absolutely divine.

Seriously, sometimes I wonder if I am far too intelligent or I nitpick too much. But there are really so much stupidity out there. Do these dieting people and marketing people see the irony of their actions?!

Don't even get me started on sugar-ed green tea. Sooooo dumb.
