If there really is something known as Fate, I think it's amazing. Sometimes I can't believe the people I meet and keep as friends. It's even more special when they suddenly drop into my life and somehow contributed to my well-being. Maybe there ARE people one is bound to meet.

I had a great trip this time. It started off pretty depressing but it ended just perfect. I was so dreading New York because the flight times are too long and I am still nervous around the many businessmen. Of course there are many things on my mind too but very fortunately, Life and emotions aren't stagnant. I forgot how adventures and encounters are waiting around corners to meet me (where did my more usual bouncy self go??). To count my blessings, I worked with nice colleagues this time around and also met an Italian stallion while emailing my shogun. (Hell yeah I feel guilty!) Damn, why are European men so slick? Anyway Empress Boodiboo said half of them are poor bastards so I shall continue with my original thread.

I was so relieved when I finally landed back in Tokyo after a 13 hours' flight. My god, it's no joke to fly that long. Urrggghhh we were natural candidates as zombie dancers for Michael Jackson's THRILLER by the end of the flight. I was half expecting a really boring off day until I met my little pixie. Then everything went uphill. I had such a great time and my chest was really exploding with joy!

She brought me to the charming old Narita town near our hotel and we had a very long walk. It was a cold, crisp winter morning and the best time for long conversations and walks. We had takoyaki, ice-cream, steamed chestnuts and tons of fun exploring the little temple town. When we did finally reach the temple, my heart just broke. The ground was carpeted by yellow maple leaves and I felt I was walking on stars. Too beautiful. I think it was one of the best mornings I have ever spent in my entire life. I felt like my soul was entirely cleansed.

The best bit was when this little mandarin duck went quacking near my feet. Soooo cute. My pictures are all unfortunately in my camera phone. Next time, I should pack a pint sized chickenbackside. HE, I know, would take pictures to justify my praise of the temple town's beauty.

Shall end here. Relax, RocketJim! Welcome back.
