Damn, I'm in China!

I just came back from Guangzhou and it was an EXPERIENCE. The people are so so so rude, the sales people are all blind, the cab drivers are cutting, the air is terrible but I love the place. I love love love the place! I might be very biased here because it is afterall the first time I set foot in China and I was so excited. (My grandfather was from Guangzhou) My poor senior had to suffer my constant chatter and ummm...gleeful skipping. Ya, I didn't know my inner child was still alive. Anyway WOW China rocks. It was very interesting to finally see it with my own eyes. I saw a grand total of 3 people digging their noses during the commute to the hotel Yes, I am in China!! Woot~! Watch your step too because ah peks there throw orange peels everywhere.

I went to a 'Pu Xing' Street (kinda like the Shibuya or Orchard Road of the area I stayed) and it was amazing to see the array of fake LV, Gucci, Dior and Coach bags. My senior was so disgusted and she thanked Buddha every second she isn't into these luxuries (or she will feel very tulan). Bargaining too, is the rule of the day but I didn't participate in any. I am useless at it...I mean, things are already too cheap. ("Stupid!!" says my senior. "Watch me.") It's tiring to bargain and most times I see it, both parties end up pretty irritated.

I went for an hour full body massage (which included dinner) that cost a mere 48RMB. That's only SGD$9. So cheap...my head was spinning from disbelief. I think a BigMac there cost only $1.20. And a 15min taxi ride cost me $3!! (In tokyo, I paid $40 for the same distance.)

Guangzhou skyline! Oh your eyes are fine, it's just the pollution lah

I missed all the excitement from my job. The thrill of stepping foot onto a different country and having coffee with your dear friends in various foreign locales. Guangzhou re-ignited that thrill...then again, I recently experienced the same thrill when I went to the temple town. Emotions are a funny thing huh.

It was a good flight to end the year.

Pity some plans didn't materialise.

*sigh* I missed being next to him and listening to his heart beat...oh well... Shogun's such a cow sometimes. Arg.

So be it. I will make 2007 spectacular MYSELF.
