I was in New York!

New York was great. I won't say I love it but it certainly is vibrant and brimming with things for ONE person to do. The energy there is great and I particularly enjoyed Times Square with all its colourful signboards, multi-racial crowd and theatres. Between Times Square and Shibuya I wonder which I would choose? Perhaps Times Square would win by a little edge since everything's in English! Yay! (But Shibuya has way more good-looking people...especially men *wink*) It's a HUGE shame I forgot my camera though and I don't know how to transfer the pictures from my cellphone to the internet. The hotel was great too; the room was very pretty and the location even better. I stayed diagonally opposite *drumroooollll* the Chrysler Building at 42nd street! Also, the Grand Central Station was just a few minutes' walk away. Everything was conveniently located and I walked ALOT. Next time I go to New York, I will catch a musical or play...in fact I shall go watch Disney's Lion King. It looks pretty good with its tribal theme. Pity my buddy had different interests but it's alright since we are both pretty independent. (I bored her to hell in Virgin Records and she bored me to hell in Victoria's Secrets.)

Right now, it is very fun window shopping alone - I could spent an hour in a papercraft shop just looking through the bookmarks and cards. Then waste the rest of the afternoon browsing through books, calendars and the market located at the basement of Grand Central Station. It's a lonely job though. It is not that I don't like making friends but sometimes, it is just more convenient doing things by myself. I could waste an hour just looking at PAPER or testing bath products and I know that would test the patience of many people. However, it's more fun to share interesting finds and happy experiences with somebody ya? So...yeah I repeat, it's a lonely job.

Flew back to Tokyo after 3 days and it feels like home already. Bought some lychee beer for a friend and I do hope she likes it!

Next stop: Los Angeles! Cherry babe, I'll ship Adam Brody for ya! Caleeeforrneeaaaa~
