Had a lovely Lantern Festival today; met up with my buddies and walked around her park with my branded lanterns from Takashimaya. *laughs* They were a whopping 70 cents each and prettier than those every kid was holding. I did feel kinda silly carrying the lantern around the park since there isn't a legend affixed to lantern carrying... meaning technically, there is no use huh. It's not like the old days where you find a stream and float your lantern down the stream to hook a fresh-faced scholar. Then you exchange poems and love letters but alas! He is too poor for your family so he pines for his lost love and bangs his head against the wall, thereby ending his piteous life. Anyway my buddies and I decided to have a less painful girly session with scented candles in a dark room. In the nutshell, festivals are great excuses for gatherings where you ultimately go home smiling to yourself and feeling warm.

During the girl-talk, Xia commented that there is a superstition among most Chinese that men should not grow any facial hair as long as their fathers are still alive. It's bad luck with a goatee. I heard the biggest "Shucks!!" in my head. Guess I am destined to date a Japanese or Korean. Haha. Why do I dig facial hair so much?? My dad is always clean shaven... so where did this strange fetish come from? Maybe I should start believing in past lives - I must have been a concubine to some really hairy Mongolian King and loved him lots. Har har har.

I missed clubbing ALOT. The worse thing is that I am picky about music and my company. I shouldn't have listened to Michael Jackson because everytime I play his song, I wanna dance.

Do you remember
When we fell in love
We were young and innocent then
Do you remember
How it all began
It just seemed like heaven
So why did it end?

I don't care what people say but Jackson is THE KING OF POP.
