My first day at the temp job went pretty well. The office is cozy and I finished my work by 3pm. That means, I make a miserly *censored* today since I only worked 5 hours. Yeah I make so little I am even ashamed to produce the numbers. Am very glad I am patient enough to save bit by bit and not take short-cuts. It's called Arvato Services and actually, I am a telemarketeer without knowing it. I have become a pest!! Fortunately, not one victim has slammed the phone down on me so my day has been good so far. Met a couple of cute security guards too. *laughs* Shit Jim!! Can't you just NOT talk about guys for once?! Primary job was to call up the clients in Australia and New Zealand. These people are so friendly. A typical conversation goes like this:
RJ: Hi Paul, this is Tofu calling from AutoDesk.
Paul: Oh ok, hello Tofu. How you doing?
RJ: Great! And you?
Paul: Good good.
(It's always good calling after lunch-time.)
Was surrounded by people of different backgrounds in the office; there were Koreans, Japanese, Taiwanese, Americans and Malaysians. I wonder what the others were doing since I vaguely remember a korean lady and me doing most of the talking. I also vaguely remember that while I was wondering what the rest were doing, I heard the very familiar sound of a MSN window popping up. Tadaaaaa! So that was what the others were doing. I was also too overdressed today as it turned out that Friday was 'sloppy day' in this company.
Have a camp tomorrow. I thought 13 years old go to camp...but if I don't go to this, I can't go to Japan. I have to stay overnight at the campus and only go home around 2pm on Sunday. I'm already all tired when I think about it. At least I know this camp won't involve alot of exercises and push-ups. Phew. Alright, I need a positive mind...maybe I meet some very nice people who will offer me CEO positions next time.
