Love the job at the Expo, but I don't really do more than direct people to their destinations, make announcements, issue lucky draw coupons and key in invoice numbers. However, it's all great fun and I have met many many nice people. Some aunties complimented me and said I am very pleasant. Hehehehe *blush blush*They don't know me. Anyway, I guess I was so bored that any distractions were welcomed. Strangely enough, they didn't give me the numbers to their sons' cellphones. Bah! Met auntie Susan and Florence, Hassain from Bangalore, Uncle John Deluz and Journalist Guek Hoon today. Hassain from Bangalore said if he ever needed receptionists in India, he will call me. *rolls on floor laughing* Flattered.
It is amazing how many people got lost in the Expo. It's not that big, in fact it is LINEAR. I didn't know a thing about this place 2 days ago but since so many people turned to my booth for directions, I had to take a tour myself. How strange... Apparently many people DO NOT/ CANNOT read signboards. I think it is plain laziness: "Oh, an info counter there, let's ask her." I am not working at a helpdesk but since it is located at the Hall nearest to the train station, I became the informal spokesperson for the Singapore Expo. I ain't complaining though, I love what I am doing. Only another 6 more days to go!
On the way home, Buddha rewarded my kindness today by putting a cute Japanese dude opposite me in the train. *swoons*
